NEWPORT County AFC have no fresh injury worries but caretaker boss Wayne Hatswell insists he still has selection decisions for tomorrow’s League Two clash at Exeter City.

The Exiles head to Devon fresh from beating Scunthorpe 3-0 and outplaying Bradford City in a 0-0 draw.

Hatswell, holding the reins after the departure of Michael Flynn, named the same side for both encounters and is unlikely to make dramatic changes for the trip to St James Park.

Central defender Priestley Farquharson (knee) and defender/midfielder Scot Bennett (foot) remain sidelined while teenage midfielder Aneurin Livermore, who started the midweek EFL Trophy loss to Arsenal U21s, is unlikely to play because of a hand injury.

Ed Upson returned to training on Thursday after a calf strain forced him off at half-time against the Bantams and Hatswell has food for thought after a switch from three at the back to a flat four.

Captain Matty Dolan moved forward to midfield and Aston Villa loanee Finn Azaz made a second successive lively performance of the bench.

“We’ve had some good displays but I’m not going to say I’m going to keep the same team, because every game is different. Exeter are a completely different animal,” said the interim manager.

“It’s from the same squad but there are some selection problems because we treat every game differently and made a tactical change last week.

“Matty did really well stepping into midfield, which he has done before for us, and that was pleasing.

“The team has performed well and I include Finn in that because he has had such an impact against Scunthorpe and Bradford.

“I know he is raring to go and I want that hunger throughout the team. We are going to need to be at our best because we’ve got a run of three games in eight days with two tough away games either side of Carlisle.”

County host the Cumbrians on Tuesday before heading to Bristol Rovers a week on Saturday.

Exeter will not be able to play striker Padraig Amond, who is on loan from Newport.

The Exiles' starting XI last week: Day, Clarke, Dolan, Demetriou, Norman, Haynes, Upson, Willmott, Cooper, Telford, Baker-Richardson.
