A ROAD which had been closed after an earlier crash near Risca and Pontymister railway station has now been re-opened.
Emergency services were called to the incident on Park Road between 10am and 11am.
The road was closed in both directions between Gelli Avenue and the station.

However, officers re-opened the road shortly before 1pm.
At the time of the crash, a Gwent Police spokesperson said: “Emergency services are dealing with a Road Traffic Collision on Park Road in Pontymister.
“The road is closed and diversions are in place which may cause congestion.
“Please avoid the area if possible and find alternative routes for your journey.”
