THREE people have been arrested following a crash that closed the A468 for almost 11 hours on Saturday, October 16.

The crash involved one car. Police were first alerted at 4.15am.

The road was eventually reopened at 3.10pm.

No one involved in the incident suffered life-threatening injuries, although a woman from the Caerphilly borough area was taken to hospital.

Three men, also from the Caerphilly borough area, were arrested in connection to the crash.

All have since been released under investigation.

Pant Glas Industrial Estate was impossible to access at the time because of the road closures and Newport Road was closed.

The crash occured near Bedwas High School.

Gwent Police statement in full:

A spokeswoman from Gwent Police said: "At approximately 4.15am on Saturday, October 16, we had a report of a collision involved one car on the A468 in Bedwas.

"A woman, from the Caerphilly borough area, went to hospital for treatment, no-one suffered life threatening injuries.

"Three men, all from the Caerphilly borough area, were arrested in connection with the collision and have been released under investigation."
