THE latest Covid-19 figures from Public Health Wales have been released and show that Caerphilly has the second highest number of new cases in Wales.
Caerphilly has recorded 608 new cases of coronavirus as of 9am on October 17, second only to Cardiff (815).
Gwent has recorded 1,753 new cases of Covid-19, while across the whole of Wales there were 6,398 new cases, including those who are residents outside of Wales.

Blaenau Gwent has the highest number of cases per 100,000 people in all of Wales (407.9) - more than double the national average (200.1).
Caerphilly is the only area in Wales to come close to this rate of infection, with 335.8 cases per 100,000 people.
There have been 20 new deaths in Wales, with Public Health Wales recording the toll at 6,035 deaths since the pandemic began.
