A YEAR group at a Newport school have been asked to stay at home for the rest of this week due to staff shortages.
Caerleon Comprehensive School has told pupils in Year Nine they will have to learn from home on Thursday, October 21 and Friday, October 22.
This, the school said, is due to staff absences due to sickness, and a national shortage of supply teachers.
Parents and carers have been contacted this afternoon (Wednesday).
