Rassau Industrial Estate near Ebbw Vale is now fully let after two new leases have been signed.

GTS Flexible Materials has taken a 20-year lease and 10-year lease has been signed by Artemas Joseph Holdings.

The site is owned by property and asset management company FI Real Estate Management (FIREM).

GTS Flexible Materials is a global adhesive systems specialist and laminate and insulation manufacturer.

And Artemas Joseph Holdings is a scaffolding, decking and noise barrier manufacturer.

FIREM has seen interest in the estate grow steadily since work commenced to convert the A465 Heads of the Valleys road, which runs alongside the estate, into a dual carriageway.

The £336m project began in 2014 and will see the five-mile stretch of road between Brynmawr and Gilwern widened to improve connectivity and reduce journey times.

Blaenau Gwent County Borough Council also confirmed in June that a further £3m of improvements will be made to the road network across the local authority area.

The unprecedented demand for space has prompted FIREM to begin planning the design and build of a number of new industrial and warehouse units in South Wales.

A spokesperson for FI Real Estate Management said: “As occupancy starts to bounce back in other markets, interest in the industrial sector is only rising further following a solid performance throughout the pandemic.

“We’re seeing growing demand for quality units across our portfolio in South Wales, no doubt prompted further by the investment in the area’s transport infrastructure in recent years.

“The new deals with GTS Flexible Materials and Artemas Joseph Holdings are testament to this and we’re pleased to be part of their ongoing success.”
