THERE have been 550 new cases of Covid-19 in Gwent, according to the latest stats from Public Health Wales.
Wales in total has recorded 2,582 new cases, including residents outside of Wales.
Once again, Caerphilly recorded the greatest number of new cases in Gwent with 164 - the fifth highest in Wales.

This is closely followed by Newport, with 139 new cases.
All areas of Gwent have a higher case rate than the Welsh average (78.6 per 100,000 people).
Monmouthshire has the highest number of cases per 100,000 in Gwent, with 96.2, while Newport has the lowest, with 89.9.
Cardiff has by far the greatest number of cases in the past day, recording 406 in total.
The second highest number of new cases is in Rhondda Cynon Taf, which has 226.
