A THIEF who stole bottles of wine, frozen geese, make-up and electric shavers during a crime spree has been jailed.
Newport Magistrates’ Court heard how Gary Martin Matthews, 34, targeted shops in Ebbw Vale and Tredegar between August and October.
He stole wine from the Festival Service Station, frozen geese from Farmfoods, make-up from Boots and electric shavers from Home Bargains.

Matthews, of Church Street, Ebbw Vale, pleaded guilty to theft and handling stolen goods which included costume jewellery and two jackets.
The defendant was jailed for 16 weeks.
