A DEALER caught with nearly half a kilo of cocaine made £30,000 from selling drugs - but has just a tiny amount of this left.

Lewys Hudd, 31 from Blaenau Gwent, who was jailed earlier this year, returned to Cardiff Crown Court for his Proceeds of Crime Act hearing.

Judge Geraint Walters heard how the defendant has £1,189 available to be handed over to the authorities.

A confiscation order was made for that amount with Hudd having three months to transfer these assets or face a month in jail.

During his sentence hearing in February it emerged the defendant was caught after detectives carried out forensic examination on £28,000 in cash.

That money, seized from another man's house, was "saturated in cocaine residue” and it led them to Hudd.

The defendant, of Mountain Road, Tredegar, pleaded guilty to possession of cocaine with intent to supply.

He also admitted possession of criminal property.

Police had seized a black Mercedes coupe and designer clothes from him during his arrest.

Hudd was jailed for 30 months.
