The story with the picture was as follows:
A London-based property company is planning to build a £30 million shopping mall and mutli-screen cinema on the site of the former Queens School annex at Stow Hill, Newport.
Arlington Securities are about to clinch a £1m deal for the 0.324 hectare site which will give Newport a second town centre development.
No detailed plans have yet been disclosed but it is expected that the application for the development will come before the borough council's planning committee within three months.
The developers want to from their development in Commercial Street, but neither the borough council or they can say how this will be done.
The site has been up for sale for a year and was valued by the district valuer at more than £800,000.
Arlington Securities were on of two property developers interested in the site.
