TWO drug dealing cousins who used a takeaway as a front to sell cocaine in the Gwent valleys made £30,000.

Tanju Tunc, 35, and Ugur Tunc, 32, ran a kebab shop in Cwm, near Ebbw Vale, as a cover for their criminal operation.

The pair, who were jailed for months and 28 months in June respectively, each profited by £15,000, their Proceeds of Crime Act hearing revealed.

Turkish national Tanju Tunc has £11,500 available to be seized by police.

The pair admitted supplying cocaine, conspiracy to supply cocaine and possession of criminal property.

After their sentencing hearing in the summer, PC Matthew Jacob said: “Ugur Tunc and Tanju Tunc were using their takeaway as a front to conceal their crimes.

“We recovered more than £50,000 in cash hidden in a flat above the takeaway.

“Tanju Tunc intended to flee the UK with the money, whilst attempting to implicate others in order to downplay his own involvement, and he showed little remorse for his actions.”
