NEWPORT County AFC supporters will not be able to buy tickets on the day for Saturday’s League Two fixture with Swindon Town because of a bumper travelling contingent.

The sixth-placed Exiles are aiming to make it four wins from four under new manager James Rowberry against the Robins, who are seventh, at Rodney Parade (kick-off 3pm).

Swindon have sold out their away allocation of just under 1,100, meaning that tickets will not be sold on matchday.

County fans have until 6pm on Friday to buy their tickets, either in person or online, for the clash.

All supporters will need to show a Covid pass or proof of a negative lateral flow test to gain entry for the fixture, with the Exiles hoping for their biggest crowd of the League Two campaign.

The League Cup fixture against Southampton saw 7,002 come through the turnstiles while the next highest attendance was the visit of Bradford City when 4,089 saw the 0-0 draw.
