A HOST of Newport County AFC favourites will play in an annual charity match at Caerleon on Sunday.
The game at Cold Bath Road (kick-off 1pm) is in tribute to Rhys Griffiths, who died in 2006 from testicular cancer at the age of 22.
The keen sportsman played for Shaftesbury Youth FC and supported Arsenal and the Exiles.
His former teammates join forces every year to play Newport Civil Service and Cross Keys United in a fundraiser and a number of County greats and promotion winners will be attending this year's fixture.
Club legend John Relish will be manager and others listed as coming include Lee Minshull, Gary Warren, Scott Rogers, Kerry Morgan, Andy Sandell, Paul Bignot, Jason Price, Simon Truman, Dean Holdsworth, Cortez Belle, Nathan Davies, Michael Flynn, Darren Jones, Kieran Blackburn, Wayne Hatswell, John Sanderson, Aaron O'Connor, Christian Jolley, Mark Price, Jason Donovan, David Pipe, Craig Hughes, Byron Anthony and Danny Elliott and Gareth Wesson, plus Swansea favourite Lee Trundle.
The entrance fee is a donation of at least £1 with children allowed in free. There will be a raffle and shirt auctions while the clubhouse will be open for refreshments.
