DRAGONS back rower Aaron Wainwright has won his fitness race and will start for Wales against Australia on Saturday.

The number eight missed Sunday’s win over Fiji after suffering a shoulder injury in the loss to South Africa.

Wainwright has been passed fit to start against the Wallabies and is joined in the XV by fellow Dragons back row forward Taine Basham, who returns to openside when making his fourth start of a breakthrough autumn series.

The Rodney Parade side have four players on Test duty with hooker Elliot Dee and lock Ben Carter named on the bench.

Jonathan Davies is left out with Uilisi Halaholo and Nick Tompkins paired in midfield.

Tighthead prop Tomas Francis has successfully completed concussion return-to-play protocols and is recalled and Seb Davies takes over from lock Will Rowlands, who suffered a head knock against Fiji.

Josh Adams is fit to start on the wing after a late withdrawal on Sunday when he had been set to play at outside centre.
