A ROUND-UP of recent cases heard at Newport Magistrates’ Court and Cwmbran Magistrates’ Court.

LIAM LLOYD, 25, of Ladyhill Road, Newport, was banned from driving for 18 months after he pleaded guilty to drug driving with a cannabis derivative in his blood on Dale Road on May 13.

He was ordered to pay £319 in a fine, costs and a surcharge.

STEVEN BARNES, 41, of Ebenezer Drive, Rogerstone, Newport, was ordered to pay £239 in a fine, costs and a surcharge after he pleaded guilty to public disorder on August 29.

AARON PREECE, 26, of Hillside Avenue, Markham, near Blackwood, was ordered to carry out 100 hours of unpaid work and banned from driving for 18 months after he admitted driving whilst disqualified on Commercial Street, Pontllanfraith, on April 24.

He was ordered to pay £180 in costs and a surcharge.

JASON EDWARD REYNOLDS, 51, of Thirlmere Place, Old Barn Estate, Newport, was jailed for 18 weeks after he pleaded guilty to the theft of a £69.99 red Barneys jacket from TK Maxx and a £30 Philips shaver from Asda and being in breach of suspended prison sentences.

He was ordered to pay a £128 surcharge.

RACHELLE BARTROP, 48, of Neerings, Coed Eva, Cwmbran, was ordered to pay £816 in a fine, costs and a surcharge after she failed to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence.

Her driving record was endorsed with six points.

SIMON DESMOND NEALE, 54, of Partridge Way, Duffryn, Newport, was ordered to pay £344 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for driving whilst not wearing an adult belt on Cardiff Road on April 25.

GLYN SADLER, 34, of Pennant Street, Willowtown, Ebbw Vale, was ordered to pay £816 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for driving without insurance on the A4046 on April 28.

His driving record was endorsed with six points.

GARETH WILLIAMS, 43, of Hadrian Close, Caerleon, Newport, was ordered to pay £816 in a fine, costs and a surcharge after he failed to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence.

LIAM JOHN EVANS, 36, of Glyn Derw, Deri, Caerphilly, was banned from driving for six months after he failed to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence.
