A Torfaen salon has - yet again - come out on top after winning the British Gold for top rated salon and two British Silver awards at the 2021 British Hair and Beauty Awards.
Located in New Inn, the Beauty Oasis Day Spa & Clinic is already a Clarins Gold Salon, one of only a few in Wales and has now been awarded three further accolades at a virtual award ceremony.
The British Hair and Beauty Awards are not by nomination, but instead evidence based. Sarah and her team were grilled by submitting a portfolio of evidence to the judges.
As well as the British Gold in the Top Rated Salon category, Beauty Oasis were also awarded British Silver in the Excellence in Customer Service and Beauty Salon of the Year categories.
Beauty Oasis Day Spa & Clinic owner Sarah Henson said: “As these are the premier awards for the hair and beauty industry, when we entered, we weren’t expecting much. To initially be informed we had been shortlisted was fantastic news and then to win a British Gold and two British Silvers in categories that mean so much to us is incredible, and I am so very proud of every member of the team.”
Unfortunately, there was no glitzy ceremony this year due to Covid, but Sarah’s team all got dressed and celebrated at their homes while watching the ceremony.
Sarah said: “When I opened the first salon in Newport 20 years ago, my focus was to provide clients with an exemplary service. We developed a formula that worked and enabled me to open the salon here in New Inn ten years ago and both have gone from strength to strength. Like many other businesses, we battled through to survive lockdown and to be rewarded with these three awards is so satisfying.”
And the secret to this success?
Sarah said: “It is a combination of our commitment to customer service, embracing change and innovation in our industry and investing in talented team members and helping them progress their careers.”
