A new report shows ‘Baby and Child’ products seeing the biggest boom on Black Friday.
The SaleCycle Black Friday Ecommerce Strategy Stats Report 2021 looked into the trends and patterns of 2020 Black Friday.
The ‘Baby & Child’ retail sector saw the biggest increase in online shoppers on Black Friday with an upturn in online traffic of 161% compared to the Friday prior. Not only did traffic increase on the day, but the week leading up to the event saw shoppers increase by 60% on the Wednesday and 136% on the Thursday.
Author of the report, Brad Ward, said: “It is clear shoppers are keen to find the best deals ahead of Black Friday, with online traffic increasing significantly beforehand.
“We recommend finding the offers on the products you’re looking for ahead of the sale and then getting online early on Black Friday morning.”
“To beat virtual queues, try shopping first thing in the morning before 6am.”
