A NEWPORT woman has appeared in court charged with two arson offences after an alleged incident in Bettws.
Sabina Khanom has been charged with arson with intent to endanger life, as well as a separate charge of arson with recklessness as to whether life was endangered.
The charges relate to an alleged incident on Monday evening.
Police and fire crews were sent to the scene of what South Wales Fire and Rescue Service called a "domestic fire" at a property in Darent Walk at around 9.25pm on August 1.
Khanom, 27, of Darent Road, has been remanded into custody and has been sent for trial at Newport Crown Court on August 31.
