STUDENTS in Ebbw Vale have clubbed together to send a touch of Eisteddfod spirit to a Spanish school.
Coleg Gwent received an email from El Centro Inglés, an English language school based in Cadiz, earlier this year asking for the college's help to create their very own Eisteddfod in Spain.
Business students at Coleg Gwent managed to pull together a suitcase jam-packed with Welsh items donated by Welsh Tourism, the Assembly, the National Museum of Wales, and other local businesses.
The items, which include Welsh flags, dragons, postcards, and rugby balls, will be given out as prizes as part of the Spanish school's Eisteddfod celebrations.
Sarah Adlam Business Lecturer at Ebbw Vale Coleg Gwent, said: "The Eisteddfod is one of the most important events in Wales so we were happy to help."
The college has now received a letter of thanks from Spanish lecturer, Steve Dawe.
