FIREFIGHTERS were called to deal with blazing oil at a Blaenavon factory yesterday afternoon.
The fire broke out in the oil quenching tank at Doncasters Ltd which contained 8000 litres of oil.
Fire crews from Blaenavon, Caerphilly and Cardiff dealt with the blaze in just over an hour, they capped off the tank and allowed the oil to cool whilst using a foam jet to extinguish the flames.
No one was injured.
Doncasters employs around 160 people at its Blaenavon site where steel mills and blast furnaces are manufactured.
