IN sharp contrast to the care and attention being shown to Prince Harry is the lack of support for former Lance Corporal Richard Brown.
Mr Brown's life is being torn apart by Post Traumatic Stress Disorder because of his experiences as a front-line soldier in the first Gulf war, Bosnia, Northern Ireland and Afghanistan, to name a few of his tours of duty.
Unless people have experienced life at the front line with the armed forces it is difficult to understand the level of danger and mind-warping fear and psychological damage that can be done by experiencing some of the horrific sights and sounds of battle.
Mr Brown is one of those who has.
It is shameful that there is little support once soldiers leave the army.
The Ministry of Defence should surely be there in such cases to overcome local circumstances and ensure he gets the treatment he deserves.
