TORFAEN council's recycling body is celebrating after recycling nearly 700 tonnes of waste from across the borough last month.
Torfaen Cleanstream Recycling recycled 200 tonnes more waste than in September, when they set their last record.
The news comes after Torfaen council was placed in the top 25 percent of Welsh authorities for its recycling performance.
Executive member for Operational Services at Torfaen council, John Cunningham, said: "I would like to thank everyone for their support.
"Residents' enthusiasm for recycling and the hard work by Cleanstream ensured a record amount was recycled."
But Mr Cunningham also warned residents not to become complacent, urging people to recycle even more.
He said: "More needs to be done to boost levels further."
