A MONTH-long scheme to cut the risk of flooding to properties in Pontypool is due to start on Monday.
Welsh Water is investing £150,000 to increase the capacity of the town's wastewater network.
The existing network will be replaced and new pipes laid to increase the amount of wastewater carried and cut the risk of flooding.
The work will take place at the junction of Osbourne Road (A4043) and Pentrepiod Road, and is due to be completed in early April.
Two-way temporary traffic lights will be set up to help control the flow of traffic and Pentrepiod Road will be closed until April 4.
Welsh Water apologised in advance for any disruption.
