A ROUND-UP of recent cases heard at Newport Magistrates’ Court.

Zoe Harley, 37, of Park View, Bargoed, Caerphilly must pay £253 in a fine, costs and a surcharge after she pleaded guilty to possession/having custody of a fighting dog – an XL Bully type breed named Blue – on April 23.

A contingent destruction order for the animal was made.

Nicole Price, 32, of Gloster Street, Newport must pay £146 in a fine, costs and a surcharge after she pleaded guilty to speeding in a 30mph zone.

Her licence was endorsed with three penalty points.

Adam Banfield, 40, of Newman Road, Trevethin, Pontypool must pay £398 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for speeding in a 40mph zone.

His licence was endorsed with three penalty points.

Jaye Watkins, 40, of Hendre Farm Drive, Newport must pay £1,014 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for using a motor vehicle on a road/public place without insurance.

Their licence was endorsed with six penalty points.

Antony Fudge, 22, of Heolddu Crescent, Bargoed, Caerphilly must pay £398 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for driving a motor vehicle otherwise than in accordance with a licence.

His licence was endorsed with three penalty points.

Christopher Rogers, 37, of The Square, Penpedairheol, Caerphilly must pay £141 in a fine, costs and a surcharge after he pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly on June 28.

Muhammad Rahman, 35, of Chepstow Road, Newport must pay £385 in a fine, costs and a surcharge after he admitted using a handheld mobile phone/device while driving a motor vehicle on a road.

His licence was endorsed with six penalty points.

Haydn Evans, 32, of King Street, Nantyglo must pay £398 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for using a motor vehicle on a road without a valid test certificate.

Sarah Togba, 40, of Partridge Way, Duffryn, Newport must pay £1,014 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for using a motor vehicle on a road/public place without insurance.

Her licence was endorsed with six penalty points.
