More than 1,600 bin collections have been missed in the Ynysddu ward since Christmas 2024.
The information was uncovered by two councillors who have raised concerns with the council, with the data revealing that 1643 bin collections have been missed in the ward since the end of last year.
Councillor Janine Reed, who shares ward duties with Cllr Jan Jones, said: "I genuinely find these results astounding, and the fact Cllr Jones and I have had to point this out to CCBC... where is their monitoring?
"Our residents are paying good money for a poor service, and it’s not acceptable.
"The Chief Executive of CCBC, wouldn’t accept this service if it was happening to him!"
The data shows that the Ynysddu ward has had 1,643 missed collections since Christmas 2024, while the Gilfach ward has not had a single missed collection in the same period.
This has led Cllrs Reed and Jones to question how Caerphilly County Borough Council can justify these figures and the service that the residents of Ynysddu ward have received.
The councillors have asked for an explanation as to why the Ynysddu ward is consistently at the top of the non-collection league.
They have also asked for the Waste Department to document what measures and monitoring they will implement to improve the non-collection issue in the Ynysddu ward.
The councillors said they are also concerned about the upcoming Christmas period and have asked what procedures are being put in place by the council to prevent a repeat of last year's issues.
A spokesperson for Caerphilly County Borough Council said: "Our dedicated waste and recycling crews undertake almost 15 million collections each year, so any figures relating to missed collections needs to be considered in this wider context.
"Our performance data shows that missed collections for the first quarter of 2025/26 are the lowest for the last three years at a rate of 0.01% (as compared to 0.02% for the previous two years).
"Missed collections can be caused by a number of unforeseen circumstances such as vehicle breakdowns or access issues and it is important to note that our crews return as quickly as possible to collect any missed locations.
"We will continue to work hard to further improve our performance levels as we deliver this vital service to 82,000+ homes across the county borough."
