A MAN has appeared in court after pleading guilty to an XL Bully dog offence.
Aaron Gilbert, 37, of East Grove Road, Newport admitted possession/having custody of a fighting dog called Zeus in the city on July 3.
The defendant was fined £200 and ordered to pay £85 costs and an £80 surcharge.
A contingent destruction order for the dog was made at Newport Magistrates' Court.
