An air ambulance was launched to a park for a ‘medical incident’ on Monday, November 10.

The air ambulance was seen at a green area next to Brookland Terrace, Pontnewydd, Cwmbran at around 12.30pm.

Emergency services were at the scene for over one hour and a witness reported a person was ‘taken ill.’

A spokesperson for Wales Air Ambulance said: “The Wales Air Ambulance responded to a medical incident with our ambulance colleagues nearby.  We landed in the most suitable area for the helicopter.

“I can confirm that the Wales Air Ambulance helicopter attended an incident in that region yesterday (10/11/25). Our Cardiff-based crew were allocated at 12:05 and arrived at the scene at 12:27. Our involvement concluded at 13:30."
