A ROUND-UP of recent cases heard before magistrates.

Kelly Vinnicombe, 44, of Western Avenue, Newport must pay £637 in a fine, costs and a surcharge after she pleaded guilty to speeding in a 50mph zone.

Her driving licence was endorsed with three penalty points.

Carly Baker, 34, of Commercial Road, Talywain, Pontypool was disqualified from driving for 22 months after she pleaded guilty to drink driving on Broadway on May 31 last year with 194 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood.

She must pay £1,056 in a fine, costs and a surcharge.

James Walters, 33, of Maesglas Crescent, Newport must pay £305 compensation after he admitted stealing a Makita drill and a Bosch radio from B&Q on July 8 last year.

Keith Powell, 40, of Waunheulog, Nantyglo must pay £1,044 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for failing to give information relating to the identification of the driver/rider of a vehicle when required.

His driving licence was endorsed with six penalty points.

Khizer Ali, 23, of Hart Gardens, Newport must pay £298 in a fine, costs and a surcharge after he pleaded guilty to failing to comply with red/green arrow/lane closure light signals.

His driving licence was endorsed with three penalty points.

Chee Leong Chin, 42, of Exemouth Place, Chepstow must pay £450 in a fine, costs and a surcharge after he pleaded guilty to speeding in a 50mph zone.

His driving licence was endorsed with six penalty points.

Lawrence O'Keefe, of Cornbrook Road, Bettws, Newport was fined £200 for keeping a vehicle without a valid vehicle licence.

He must pay £85.42 back duty and £85 costs.

Oliver John Herbert, 23, of Thornwell Road, Bulwark, Chepstow was fined £147 after he admitted keeping a vehicle without a valid vehicle licence.

He must pay £85 costs and £28.75 back duty.

Wyndham Bennet, of The Walk, Nantyglo must pay £408 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for keeping a motor vehicle which did not meet insurance requirements.         

Michael Granville, of Portland Street, Newport must pay £408 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for keeping a motor vehicle which did not meet insurance requirements.

Paul Saunders, of Cardiff Road, Newport was fined £220 for keeping a vehicle without a valid vehicle licence.

He must pay £85 costs and £73.34 back duty.
