A ROUND-UP of recent cases heard before magistrates.

Joel Richards, 27, of Cardiff Road, Newport must pay £736 in a fine, costs and a surcharge after he pleaded guilty to using a motor vehicle on a road/public place without insurance.     

His driving record was endorsed with six penalty points.

Roger David Pile, of Waenheulog, Nantyglo must pay £337.50 in a fine, costs and back duty for keeping a vehicle without a valid vehicle licence.

Richard Collins, aged 45, Don Close, Bettws, Newport must pay £736 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for using on a road a motor vehicle/trailer when there was danger of injury due to weight/position/distribution/security of the load.

His driving record was endorsed with three penalty points.

Matthew Bergelin, of Blaen Y Pant Crescent, Newport must pay £408 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for keeping a motor vehicle which did not meet insurance requirements.

Patric Tate, of Commercial Road, Newport was fined £440 for keeping a vehicle without a valid vehicle licence.

He must pay £85 costs and £68.75 back duty.

Sean Feeley, from Lower Race, Pontypool was fined £220 for using a vehicle without a valid vehicle licence          .

He must pay £85 costs and £28.75 back duty.

Izabela Farcas, aged 44, of South Market Street, Newport must pay £428 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for speeding in a 30mph zone.

Her driving record was endorsed with three penalty points.

Nicholas Parfitt, 36, of Heol Y Felin, Caerphilly must pay £428 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for speeding in a 30mph zone.

His driving record was endorsed with three penalty points.

BS Renewables Ltd, Greenway Close, Griffithstown, Pontypool were fined £1,000 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £57.50 back duty for keeping a vehicle without a valid vehicle licence.
