A round-up of recent cases heard before magistrates.

Steven James Warren, 44, of Queens Hill Crescent, Newport must pay £408 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for keeping a motor vehicle which did not meet insurance requirements.

John Lee, 39, of Nantyglo Caravan Site, Nantyglo was fined £220 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £71.67 back duty for keeping a vehicle without a valid vehicle licence.

Wilsons Auctions Newport Ltd, Usk Way, Newport were fined £220 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £5.84 back duty for keeping a vehicle without a valid vehicle licence.

Cally-Marie Burgess, aged 35, of St Kingsmark Avenue, Chepstow was fined £310 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £32.50 back duty for keeping a vehicle without a valid vehicle licence.

Bradley Collins, 32, of Claremont, Newport must pay £428 in a fine, costs and a surcharge after he pleaded guilty to speeding in a 30mph zone.

His driving licence was endorsed with three penalty points.

Christopher Canavan, 37, of Underwood Terrace, Abertridwr, Caerphilly must pay £736 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for speeding in a 20mph zone.

His driving licence was endorsed with five penalty points.

Cory Kings, of Mathern Way, Bulwark, Chepstow was fined £220 and ordered to pay £183.75 back duty and £85 costs for keeping a vehicle without a valid vehicle licence.

Christopher Lenahan, 47, of Vancouver Drive, Newport must pay £421 in a fine, costs and a surcharge after pleading guilty to failing to comply with red/green arrow/lane closure light signals.

His driving licence was endorsed with three penalty points.

Aland Hussain, aged 19, of Bideford Road, Newport must pay £1,044 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for using a motor vehicle on a road/public place without insurance.

His driving licence was endorsed with six penalty points.

Karl Paisley, of Thornwell Road, Bulwark, Chepstow was fined £220 and ordered to pay £122.50 back duty and £85 costs for keeping a vehicle without a valid vehicle licence.

Hardik Hardik, of Apollo Way, Blackwood must pay £1,044 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for failing to give information relating to the identification of the driver/rider of a vehicle when required.

His driving licence was endorsed with six penalty points.

Nasam Farux, of Potter Street, Newport was fined £220 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £44.17 back duty for keeping a vehicle without a valid vehicle licence.
