A bakery’s big break has earned it some well-deserved time in the spotlight.
Secrets Bakehouse in Pontnewydd, Cwmbran, recently featured on Channel 5’s Million Pound Mega Pubs, which showcases high-performing venues across the UK as they serve large volumes of customers.
The episode aired on Friday, and followed the bakery team as they worked under pressure to keep shelves stocked with pastries, cakes and other baked goods.
Owned by baker Kyle Seignot and his partner Venetia, the business was formerly known as Cornerstone Bakery before the couple took over in late 2025, rebranding it as Secrets Bakehouse.
Since then, they have expanded their product range, opened a second site in Newport and built a loyal customer base.
In a social media post, the couple told followers the bakery had been back "on TV again" and joked that staff had been "thrown straight in at the deep end" during filming.
They described how the cameras captured the team’s early-morning routine and the hard work that goes into preparing and serving fresh bakes each day.

Their latest appearance follows a previous feature on BBC Wales, where Mr Seignot shared his long-standing passion for baking and excitement about putting his own stamp on the business.
Ms Making handles the day-to-day running of the shops and manages their social media presence, helping to showcase both the products and the personalities behind the counters.
Regulars often praise the bakery online for its quality, value and friendly welcome, with some saying it has become part of their weekly routine.
In a social media post after the episode aired, the couple encouraged anyone who missed the show to catch up, adding that the counters would be "packed with goodies" as usual for those inspired to visit.
They also thanked viewers for their support and celebrated the chance to show a national audience what their small Cwmbran business could do.
The original Pontnewydd shop typically opens from 8am to 3pm, while the Newport branch serves customers from 7.30am.
Both locations trade six days a week, with customers able to pre-order popular items in advance to avoid missing out.
Messages of congratulations began to appear on the bakery’s Facebook page following the broadcast, with customers expressing pride at seeing a local independent business on national television.
While a national TV appearance marks a major milestone for the couple, Mr Seignot and Ms Making remain focused on what matters most: serving their community one bake at a time.
