A fire broke out at a waste disposal site earlier this morning, August 17.
The blaze was reported at around 5.37am at Five Lanes Quarry Waste Disposal Site in Caerwent.
South Wales Fire and Rescue Service crews were called to the incident and they remain there at this time, alongside neighbouring fire and rescue services.
A spokesperson for South Wales Fire and Rescue Service said: "SWFRS received a call at around 05:37 17th August to reports of a fire at Five Lanes Quarry Waste Disposal Site, Caerwent.
"The incident remains ongoing with crews and appliances from across South Wales and neighbouring fire and rescue services are in attendance".
Crews will remain on site while the incident is brought under control.
