Punk trio Hairdye are set to make noise in their hometown with a string of upcoming gigs.
The Newport-based band will play at Loud Women Fest at Le Pub on October 3, before returning to the same venue on December 12 for a Newport Samaritans fundraiser featuring Darling Buds and Burning Ferns.
On November 7, they will headline the Corn Exchange in Newport for their EP launch show.
Hairdye is made up of lead vocalist and bassist Penny-Laine, guitarist and backing vocalist Tom, and drummer Rhys.
Their latest single, Drop Out, marks their first release as a three-piece and is featured on their upcoming EP, Too Much Too Quick.
The band described Drop Out as "Probably the most 'pop-punk' you'll ever hear Hairdye," capturing the energy of 90s garage punk with "scuzzy guitars and pounding in-your-face bass and drums".
The track explores themes of growing up and leaving college behind, and was recorded and produced by Richie Glover (DubWar, Bad Sam) in Newport.
This year has already seen Hairdye embark on a mini-tour and perform on the Ris Stage at Rebellion.
They will also play in Swansea, Cardiff, and Newport in the coming months, rounding out a busy year of live shows and new music.
