From card shows to tribute concerts, Newport and the surrounding area has a packed schedule of events to enjoy this weekend.
Celtic Cardshow 6th Edition returns to The Celtic Manor Resort for another day of TCG fun. It’s a 'Pokemon specialist show' where fans can browse, trade, and meet fellow collectors. The event runs on September 5 from 9am to 3pm.
Dance fans can catch Nathan Dawe, Sammy Porter, Belters Only, Goodboys, Chris Watson, Stephani B, HASKELL, and The Goodboys at Rodney Parade. Expect a 'high-energy, emotional rollercoaster' with live sets and surprise tracks. The event starts September 5 at 1pm.
Experience The Beatles brings their tribute to Chepstow Drill Hall. The band said: “We’re delighted to announce we will be performing at Chepstow Drill Hall on Saturday 5th September. We hope to see you all there!” Seated tickets are £15. The show starts September 5 at 7pm.
Candlelight: The Best of Hans Zimmer offers a 'live, multi-sensory musical experience' at Newport Cathedral. Enjoy a string quartet performing Zimmer classics under candlelight. The concert takes place September 5 at 6.30pm.
Gilfest 26 returns to Gilwern Park with food stalls, a bar, and live music from local bands like Drew Iain and Full Star Dark Skies. Foodies can try 'That Street Food', 'Cluckin Bull', 'Sheppards Ice Cream', and 'Spice up the Valley'. The festival starts September 6 at 12pm.
