A paedophile went on an Easter egg hunt with children not long after he had been released from serving a custodial sentence.
Kameron Phillips, aged 20, failed to comply with sex offender register notification requirements by doing so in Pontypool in April.
He later broke the law again in July when he refused to give police officers the PIN for his mobile phone as they were supervising him as part of a sexual harm prevention order.
Tim Lewis, prosecuting, said the defendant committed the offence in Pontypool after he stayed at an address where there was a child present for 12 hours or more.
Phillips had been sent to a young offender for six months in March for making an indecent photograph/pseudo-photograph of a child between August 17 and August 22 last year.
Cardiff Crown Court heard that the defendant was ordered to register with the police as a sex offender for seven years and made the subject of a five-year sexual harm prevention order.
Phillips, represented by Harriet Ealdon, was given credit for his guilty pleas after he admitted the recent offences.
The court was told that the defendant had endured a “very difficult background” and has “personal issues”.
The judge, Recorder Mark Cotter KC, locked Phillips up for 21 weeks.
The defendant, of Llantrisant Business Park, Llantrisant will have to pay a £154 victim surcharge following his release from custody.
