A man who went on the run after darting away from police officers taking him for treatment at a hospital has pleaded guilty to the offence following his capture.
Henry Edwards, 26, of no fixed abode, Brynmawr made a dash for it outside the Grange University Hospital in Cwmbran last month.
Gwent Police issued a public appeal to find him.
A spokesperson said at the time: “Edwards, 26, was last seen at around 8.55am on Tuesday, August 4 outside the Grange University Hospital where he has been taken following his arrest for a no bail warrant and left the area on foot.
"He has links to Tredegar, Ebbw Vale and Brynmawr and is thought to be travelling back to one of these areas."
Edwards pleaded guilty to escaping from lawful custody after appearing at Cardiff Crown Court before Judge Vanessa Francis.
The defendant is due to be sentenced on Thursday, September 17.
