Abergavenny boys rescued after safety concerns raised

Two boys were rescued "from height" after emergency services responded to a concern for safety in Abergavenny on Wednesday, September 2.

The incident occurred on Frogmore Street at around midnight.

Officers from Gwent Police and crews from South Wales Fire and Rescue Service attended. 

A spokesperson for Gwent Police said: "We received a report of concern for safety on Frogmore Street, Abergavenny at around 12am on Wednesday 2 September.

"Officers attended alongside personnel from South Wales Fire and Rescue.

"Two boys were brought to safety".

South Wales Fire and Rescue Service explained that crews were called to the incident to help with a "rescue from height". 

A spokesperson for South Wales Fire and Rescue Service said: "SWFRS received a call at approximately 00:03 to assist with a rescue from height at Frogmore Street, Abergavenny.

"Crews attended and individuals were brought to safety.

"STOP message was received around 02:31".

South Wales Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that the incident was safely brought to a close at around 2.31am on Wednesday morning.
