A driver was taken to hospital as a precaution following a single-vehicle crash on the A467 on Saturday afternoon, September 5. 

The incident happened on the Risca Bypass at around 12.30pm on Saturday, September 5.

The driver was taken to hospital as a precaution, according to Gwent Police. 

No other vehicles were involved.

A spokesperson for Gwent Police said: "We received a report of a road traffic collision on the A467 at around 12.30pm on Saturday 5 September.

"The collision involved a single vehicle, and the driver was taken to hospital as a precaution".

South Wales Fire and Rescue Service are also believed to have attended the scene, and the South Wales Argus has reached out to them for more information.
