A cricket club is celebrating the success of its youth programme.
Newport Fugitives Cricket Club runs teams from Under-11s through to Under-15s, offering young players the chance to develop their skills in a supportive team environment.
The club has submitted photographs of all five junior teams as part of the South Wales Argus’ Junior Sports Supplement, which shines a light on youth sport across the region.
Coaching responsibilities are shared across the age groups.
The Under-11s are coached by Jon Chorley, Ben Hughes and Steve White.
Mike Butler, Matt Evans, Ed Ryall and Mike Ryan lead the Under-12s and Under-14s, while Gareth Chapman and Andrew Bartlett coach the Under-13s.
The Under-15s are guided by Steve White and Ian Thomas.
The Argus is introducing a new Team of the Day feature in the paper where we'll highlight a junior sports team for its success or efforts.
