Newport u3a offers language groups for all abilities

Newport u3a resumed its 40 active social and cultural groups for retirees on September 9, including various language groups.

We can now offer French - Beginners, Intermediate or Literature & Culture: German - Beginners: Italian - Conversation: Spanish - From Scratch or Improvers and Welsh - Beginners, Intermediate or Advanced; so something for all abilities!

Members aim to be able to read, speak and understand their chosen language whilst abroad.

But it's not all about conjugating verbs; some read books or newspapers whilst others have quizzes or play games en parlance!

Members also attend our Annual Christmas Concert to perform a carol in their chosen language.

Newport u3a meets at the Dolman Theatre Wednesday to Friday between 9.45am and 3pm during term time.
