A well-loved village pub has reopened under new management.
The Portskewett Inn in Monmouthshire welcomed customers back on September 9, just days after its previous operators said an emotional goodbye.
In an announcement shared online, the new team said: "The wait is over. The keys are in the door, the lines are clean, and the beer is ice cold.
"We are officially opening the doors under new management today."
They encouraged residents to return and help celebrate the pub’s fresh start, describing it as a new era for the community.
Drinks are already being served, but the kitchen remains closed for the time being.
The new operators have said that food service will be launching in the coming weeks once preparations are complete.

The handover follows the departure of former operators Rob, Ryan, and their pup Kira, who managed the pub for 14 months.
In their farewell message, they thanked staff, suppliers, entertainers, and customers for their support.
The team said: "When we arrived, our goal was to help bring a community pub back to life, and we couldn't have done it without your support, encouragement, and friendship along the way."
They reflected on the many memories and challenges they shared during their time at the inn and expressed gratitude for the warm welcome from the community.
Special thanks were given to bar supervisor Suzie, who helped prepare the venue before it first opened under their management, and to entertainer Caroline Blake, who hosted quiz nights and other events.
The Portskewett Inn has long served as a central gathering place in the village, offering a space for social events, celebrations, and everyday connections.
Community pubs like this play an important role in rural life, giving residents a place to meet, relax, and support local business.
The new management team said they are eager to welcome both loyal patrons and newcomers as they begin this new chapter.
