A suspected antique grenade was discovered during a garage clearance at a property in Sychdyn, prompting a police cordon and a visit from bomb disposal experts.
North Wales Police said officers were called to a residential property on Ffordd Celyn at 3.41pm on Friday (September 11).
The item, believed to be an antique grenade, had been found while a garage at the property was being cleared.
Police imposed a cordon around the property as a precaution to protect members of the public while the discovery was assessed.
Explosive Ordnance Disposal specialists were then called to the scene and safely removed the item at around 7.30pm.
A North Wales Police spokesperson said: “We were called to a residential property in Sychdyn at 3.41pm on Friday 11 September, where a suspected antique grenade was discovered during a garage clearance.

“A cordon was imposed for public safety and colleagues from Explosive Ordnance Disposal attended to safely remove the item at approximately 7.30pm.”
The incident was dealt with safely and the item was removed from the property later that evening.
It is understood that it was taken to a nearby field for a controlled explosion.
