A BMW driver has been banned from the roads after being caught speeding twice in two days.

Wai Ho, 58, of Park Way in Rogerstone, Newport, was twice clocked over the limit on the A48 Western Avenue in Cardiff, near the junction with Excelsior Road.

The defendant was caught doing 54mph in the 30mph limit on August 12 last year.

The following day, he was recorded driving at 60mph on the same stretch of road.

Ho pleaded guilty to both offences at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court on September 11.

He was fined £120 for each offence and was ordered to pay £130 in costs.

Six points were added to his licence for the first offence, whilst the second resulted in the defendant receiving a further six notional penalty points and a six-month driving ban.

Ho represented himself during the court proceedings, whilst Dylan Kwok appeared for the prosecution.
