Crowds gathered to celebrate the best of farming and rural life at one of the UK’s largest one-day agricultural shows.
Usk Show returned to the showground near Gwernesney on Saturday, September 12, attracting around 25,000 visitors and filling its 100-acre site with competitions, displays, and family-friendly activities.
A spokesman for the Usk Show said: "Usk Farmers’ Club would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped make Usk Show 2026 such a tremendous success.
"The looming black clouds appeared to circle the showground during the day but thankfully stayed away so everyone could enjoy a lovely autumn day and one of the last shows of the year.
"We were delighted to welcome approximately 25,000 visitors to the show, creating a fantastic atmosphere and making the day a true celebration of our local community, agriculture, countryside traditions, and rural businesses.
"A huge thank you goes to all our visitors, traders, exhibitors, competitors, sponsors, and supporters who joined us and contributed to such a memorable event.
"Your enthusiasm and continued support are what make Usk Show one of the largest one-day Agricultural Shows in the country.
"We would also like to give a very special thank you to our incredible team of volunteers.
"From months of planning and preparation to the countless hours worked before, during, and after the show, your dedication and commitment made the event possible.
"Quite simply, without our volunteers, there would be no Usk Show.
"Thank you all for being part of Usk Show 2026 & we look forward to welcoming you back on Saturday 11th September 2027."
Monmouthshire MP Catherine Fookes also attended the show.
Ms Fookes said: "It was brilliant to meet so many residents at both Mopnmouthshire and Usk shows and see the best of Monmouthshire coming together.
"I loved seeing all the livestock and produce, and I was delighted to talk to organisations such as the Gwent Wildlife Trust, the fantastic Wyesham Hive project and the South Wales Mountain Rescue Dogs, who do so much to find lost walkers on the mountains.
"A huge well done to everyone who won awards, as well as all those involved in organising both shows".
