A 30 per cent business rates cut has been welcomed.
The permanent reduction, set to begin in April 2027, will apply to hospitality, leisure and accommodation businesses in Wales with a rateable value below £51,000.
The cut will be funded by a small increase in rates paid by the highest-value properties in Wales, including some hotels, large supermarkets and other major sites.
Lindsay Whittle, MS, said: "Times have been really tough for many local businesses so this help from the Plaid Welsh Government is a welcome boost.
"Small businesses, who are at the heart of our communities, were ignored by the last Labour Government.
"So it is great to see the Plaid government helping to breathe new life into our communities."
The cut will apply to pubs, cafes, accommodation and leisure venues.
Delyth Jewell, MS, said: "This is great news to support the community spaces vital for our town centres across Blaenau Gwent, Caerffili and Rhymni.
"Unlike previous relief this is a permanent move so will give long-term security for those businesses that are eligible.
"This announcement follows the setting up of a town centre taskforce by the Welsh Government that will bring new ideas to breathe new life into our town centres."
