A SHOPLIFTER admitted stealing meat, alcohol, and hygiene products in a string of thefts from Tesco last month.
Perry Foster, 36, of no fixed abode, appeared at Newport Magistrates’ Court charged with three offences of shoplifting and one breach of bail.
The court heard Foster stole food, hygiene products, and a basket worth a total of £107.95 from Tesco Express in Newport on Tuesday, August 4.
Later that week, on Sunday, August 9, he swiped alcohol and a basket valued at £86 from Tesco Express in the city.
Foster was also accused of stealing £74 worth of meat from Tesco on August 21.

He was charged with three further offences of shoplifting after raiding three shops in Caerphilly on June 17.
Foster stole £154 of alcohol from Asda, a variety of items totalling £212.65 from Tesco, and alcohol and a Bluetooth speaker from B&M.
He also admitted failing to attend Newport Magistrates’ Court on September 7 after being released on bail on August 22.
The case was adjourned for a pre-sentence report to be prepared.
Foster was remanded in custody, and will return to be sentenced on October 7.
