Food lovers of all ages gathered in Abergavenny for the annual food festival on Saturday, September 19 and Sunday, September 20.
Stalls lined Cross Street offering everything from The Angel Bakery's traditional Welsh cakes to homemade lemonade or Masala Chai.

On Market Street visitors could enjoy lemon cheesecake ice cream from Shepherds - a limited-edition flavour for the food festival.
However, it was in the Market Hall and the Upper and Lower Brewery Yard - which were packed with producers and visitors - where things got extra special.

Lucy and Dan, who run The Dell Vineyard, were particularly excited by all the local producers.

Lucy said: "It’s going really well.
"It has been very busy, we had to restock yesterday.
"There are so many local producers which is just fantastic.
"It really showcasing the food and drink we’ve got on our doorstep".
"We’ve been doing tasters of two of our white wines and our rose – but the star of the show has been our Olwen [an oak-aged Welsh white wine made from Solaris grapes] which has incredible, tropical flavours".

Kong's Restaurant, one of Abergavenny’s own, also echoed how well the weekend was going.
Victoria Kong said: "It’s going well, and we’ve even managed to do a lap or two!
"Everyone's really nice and sharing the common thing - food - so we've had a few trades".

Visitors of all ages enjoyed exploring the festival, with many like George, who was working at Taste of Persia, there for the first time.
George said: "It has been good.
"I live in Monmouth, but I’ve never been before, and it’s a nice atmosphere, everyone’s friendly.
"I've met loads of people, and seen people I knew growing up, and there’s lots of people not from the area too."
Producers said the festival offered a valuable chance to connect with the community and share their stories.

Natalie, who owns Hay Distillery, said: "The weekend has been really good.
"The layout is great, people can move around and yesterday was really positive.
"People are appreciating the fact they’re speaking to the distiller, and people appreciate the samples we’re offering.
"Each of our gins have their own story".

Daniel Baxter, who runs The Queen Bee Honey Company, explained that it had been a "lovely" weekend.
He said: "It has been a lovely weekend. Being a local producer, it’s so nice to be able to reach our local customers, and all our bees live within a five mile radius of Abergavenny".
Mr Baxter is particularly proud of their Blorenge Heather honey which was awarded two stars at the 2026 Great Taste awards.

Also not far from Abergavenny, you'll find Trealy Farm Charcuterie who are based in Goytre.
For this year's food festival, James, who runs Trealy Farm, teamed up with Richard Hammond to create a festival special which has "had some interest".

James said: "The weekend is going well. There's a lovely atmosphere, it's relaxed but busy.
"Our Richard Hammond gin salami [has] had some interest, but we've got something for everyone - whether it's a snack salami to go with a beer, or pancetta to make a pasta sauce".
