A section of the A467 was closed in Blaenau Gwent after a car crashed into a fallen tree branch.

Gwent Police attended the incident between the Blaina and Brynmawr roundabouts on the A467 shortly before 2.30pm.

The road was closed whilst the incident was dealt with, and re-opened around 10 minutes later.

A Gwent Police spokesperson confirmed that no injuries were reported.

"A car collided with a tree branch that had fallen into the road," they said.

"No injuries were reported and the road has re-opened."

Storm Austen caused disruption across Gwent on Friday, with the M48 Severn Bridge being closed due to high winds.

Motorway users also saw the eastbound sliproad leaving the M4 at High Cross close for around an hour and a half due to a fallen tree, whilst fallen trees at Cwmbran and between Lydney and Gloucester also caused disruption to train services.
