A man has been found guilty of controlling and coercive behaviour towards a woman.

Roberto Brudiu, 31, of Cefn Glas in Tredegar, was convicted following a trial at Cardiff Crown Court.

It was alleged that, between February 1 and May 7 in 2024, Brudiu caused the victim to fear, on at least two occasions, that violence would be used against her.

He denied the offence, but was found guilty by a jury.

Brudiu was found not guilty of two offences of intentional suffocation - relating to allegations from during March 2024 and on May 6, 2024.

He was also cleared of a further two offences of intentional suffocation, after the prosecution offered no evidence.

The case was adjourned for a pre-sentence report to be prepared.

Brudiu was granted bail, and will return to court on November 26 for sentencing.
