Wales in Bloom gold award winners, Usk in Bloom, are determined that the town’s flower beds should look colourful in winter and spring as well as in summer. Members have recently completed their winter planting programme in and around the town which has included some 1,000 tulip and daffodil bulbs together with hundr eds of polyanthus.
The group is committed to providing sustainable planting alongside the annual baskets and tubs which delight visitors in the summer, and this season’s efforts have built on similar planting of bulbs over the recent winters.
